Trade turnover of agricultural products between China, Kazakhstan up

The turnover of agricultural products between Kazakhstan and China amounted to $345 million in 2017, increasing by 32 percent compared to the same period of 2016 ($261 million), the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan said in a message.

Export of Kazakhstan’s agricultural products to China in 2017 amounted to $180.5 million, increasing by 34.3 percent (from $134.4 million to $180.5 million). Wheat exports from Kazakhstan to China in the mentioned period amounted to 306,900 tons ($57.5 million).

Kazakhstan’s export of frozen fish to China increased by 2.2 times (from 1.301 tons to 2.883 tons), sunflower seeds - by 1.7 times (from 73,800 tons to 123,700 tons), seeds and fruits of other oilseeds – by 1,1 times (from 31,600 tons to 36,700 tons), sunflower and cottonseed oil – by 2.3 times (from 11,500 tons to 27,000 tons), soybean oil - by 7.3 times (from 578 tons to 4,238 tons), rapeseed oil in 1,6 times (from 5,200 tons to 8,700 tons), cotton fiber is 1.6 times (from 300 tons to 2,650 tons). In 2017 Kazakhstan also launched soybean export to China.
