Turkey’s revenue from honey exports increased in 2018 by 7 percent, compared to the figures from 2017, reaching $25.5 million, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s Eastern Black Sea Exporters Association (DKİB).
According to DKİB, in 2018, Turkey exported 6.3 thousand tons of honey to 45 countries.
"Germany, the US and Saudi Arabia are among the top export destinations of Turkish honey," said DKİB.
Turkey exported $11.4 million worth of honey to Germany, $5.4 million worth to the US, and $1.5 million worth to Saudi Arabia during this period.
"The remaining $5.7 million comprise the export to other countries," said the statement.
