The largest number of private enterprises registered in Uzbekistan from January through October 2020 fell on Tashkent city, amounting to,12 858, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
The number of all business entities, excluding farms and dekhkan (personal subsidiary) farms, in Uzbekistan as of November 1 of this year amounted to 401,727, of which 89,677 are private enterprises (22.3 percent).
The second place in the number of private enterprises registered in Uzbekistan belongs to the Fergana region with 10,779 enterprises. It is followed by the Kashkadarya region – 9,123, Namangan region – 7,188, and Surkhandarya region – 7,018.
In the structure of economic activity, the largest number of private enterprises was registered in the field of trade for 10M2020, amounting to 33,837 enterprises.
Almost half as many private enterprises were registered in the industrial sector for the reported period – 16,165 enterprises.
At the same time, the number of private enterprises registered in the field of construction and housing and catering services for 10M2020 amounted to 7,850 and 7,803, respectively.
Some 6,658 private enterprises were registered in Uzbekistan in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries spheres over the past ten months.
