Entrepreneurs from the UAE China, Turkey, and Afghanistan purchased in foreign currency diesel fuel and gasoline produced Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan during the last week, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
In addition, in foreign currency, the base oil has become the subject of transactions of businessmen from the UAE, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.
Also, Turkey and Afghanistan bought cotton yarn in foreign currency on Turkmenistan’s exchange.
The total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $ 14.1 million.
The exchange also conducted transactions in Turkmen manat. Thus, businessmen from the UK and Turkey bought cotton yarn and various medical products for a total amount of more than 774,000 Turkmen manat ($220,916).
In general, 18 transactions were registered on the exchange over the past week.
As reported, more than 242 transactions were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in February 2021.
During the first week of February 59 transactions were concluded, during the second – 110 , the third – 66, and the fourth - 7 transactions.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
