Uzbekistan reveals Mubarek Gas Processing Plant upgrade details

Uzbekistan’s oil and gas company Uzbekneftegaz is planning to invest over $15 million in a project to modernize existing propane-butane mixture production units of lines 1, 2, 3 at the Mubarek Gas Processing Plant (GPP), Trend reports on Dec. 11 referring to Uzbek media.

The feasibility study of the project was approved by the government of the Uzbekistan. Commissioning of objects is scheduled for September 2019.

Following the direct negotiations with manufacturers, Mubarek GPP has already concluded contracts for the supply of equipment, components and materials exceeding $10 million.

As a result of the project implementation, the annual production volume will reach 281,500 tons of liquefied gas with an increase of 23,200 tons, 90,700 tons of gas condensate with an increase of 7,500 tons.

It is planned to export annually 31,700 tons of products, including 11,600 tons due to growth.

Mubarek GPP was commissioned in 1971. Currently, the plant has three lines for production of propane-butane mixture with a total capacity of up to 260,000 tons per year.
