BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. Iranian banks issued loans worth 12.4 quadrillion rials (about $295 billion) in the services sector, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, 1.26 quadrillion rials (about $30 billion) worth of loans were issued for the establishment of enterprises and facilities in the services sector of Iran over the reporting period.

"Moreover, Iranian banks issued loans worth 8.46 quadrillion rials (about $201 billion) as working capital in the services sector within last Iranian year," the statistics said.

At the same time, the loans worth 200 trillion rials (about $4.75 billion) were issued for repair work and 1.27 quadrillion rials (about $30.2 billion) for development in the services sector, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, the Iranian banks issued loans worth 64.3 trillion rials (about $1.53 billion) for the purchase of personal assets, 87 trillion rials (about $2.07 billion) for the purchase of housing, and 1.04 quadrillion rials (about $24.8 billion) for the other purposes in the services sector.

In total, the Iranian banks issued loans worth about 29.7 quadrillion rials (about $707 billion) in various economic sectors over the last Iranian year.

The figure stood at 10.4 quadrillion rials (about $248 billion) in the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
