Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The delegation from Azerbaijan went to Geneva to participate in the plenary meeting of the World Radiocommunication Conference 2007 International Telecommunication Union - ITU from 22 October to 16 November.
Azerbaijani Communication and Information Technology Ministry reported Azerbaijan intends to appeal to ITU in order to accelerate definition of the orbital space for its national AzerSat satellite. The agenda of the conference includes consideration of the issue concerning joining Azerbaijan the European broadcasting zone.
The agenda of the conference consists of some 30 issues concerning the land and cosmic service and usage of radiocommunications. The decision regarding use of more rational and efficient limited resources of radio frequency units and management of satellite orbits has significant meaning for achieving goals of global joining of the 21 century.
Supervisors from international organizations will attend at the conference.
