The issue of financing the construction of a technology park of urban type in Baku will be solved in 2018, a source familiar with the project told Trend.
The project is at the stage of planning and the work on its implementation will start next year, said the source.
The urban-type technology park will be located in the building of Khatai telecommunication center of Baku Telephone Communications LLC.
The project envisages the reconstruction of a building with a total area of about 7,000 square meters, where the head office of the LLC, business incubation center, co-working center, laboratories and others will be located.
Preparation of documents and all procedures for the project is coordinated by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan.
As it was previously reported, 10 percent of the building’s area will be used for administrative needs, and the remaining part will be used for start-up projects.
