In the first decade of July, the Office for the National E-Governance Network Initiative program will announce results of the tender on setting up AzDATACOM, the main network of national information transmission.
In charge of implementation of the tender are the National E-Governance Network Initiative program, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies and UNDP.
Program experts are evaluating tender bids submitted by six companies.
Arrangements for tender have been made in strict accordance with UN rules and differ from earlier procedures.
AzDATACOM is expected to become operations by the end of 2005.
