It is important to check the legality of the nationalisation of a small terminal and platform of the Manas International Airport, Kyrgyz MP Damira Niyazaliyeva made this proposal at the parliament's plenary session on Thursday, KyrTAG reported.
"The Manas Airport board has appealed to me to check the fairness of the nationalisation of the small terminal and the platform with area of 12.49 hectares," Mr. Niyazaliyeva said.
According to the MP, Manas International Airport originally bought these facilities at the market price from the State Committee on Property Management. "Moreover the International Airport has spent more than one billion soums for reconstruction and repair of the terminal and platform," Mr. Niyazaliyeva said.
"In the case of nationalisation, the state should compensate the costs. At the same time the budget must provide the residual cost of the completion of reconstruction work amounting to $7 million," Mr. Niyazaliyeva said.
It is recalled that the 12.49 hectares terminal and platform have been nationalised by the interim government's decree.
