The opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) is very unlikely to wihdraw from the current dialogue with the authorities, a lawmaker of the ruling parliamentary party has said, Tert.am reported.

Gagik Minasyan, a member of the Republican Party faction in parliament and a representative of the delegation negotiating with the opposition alliance, dwelled on the fifth round of the dialogue at a news conference on Thursday. He said the ANC has no grounds to end the process and considered any attempts to call the detained opposition activists political prisoners a nonsense.

Speaking of the recent clash between the police and ANC activists, he refrained from giving his personal opinion. "It depends only on legal procedures; we haven't addressed [the topic] ... I don't think it is right to express any opinion on a legal process ... We'll be able to re-establish the full story only after that process is over," he said.
