Tbilisi, Georgia, Sept.30

By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend:

Georgian Prosecutor's Office has made a decision on the exhumation of the body of the country's former Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania.

Prosecutor Revaz Nadoi, who is investigating the circumstances of Zhvania's death, said the exhumation will be carried out by forensic experts, however, he didn't specify the date of the exhumation.

Zurab Zhvania was found dead on February 3, 2005, together with the Deputy Governor of Kvemo Kartli (eastern Georgia), Raul Yusupov in an apartment in Tbilisi.

The cause of death was a tragic accident relating to carbon monoxide poisoning, according to the official version of the investigation.

Re-investigation into the causes of the former prime minister's death started after the Georgian Dream coalition came to power in Georgia.
