Around 40 construction workers were missing after a mudslide hit a power station in south-western China early Thursday, dpa reported.
The mudslide hit at 6:14 am (2214 Wednesday GMT), triggered by heavy rains, local authorities were quoted as saying by Xinhua news agency.
The missing people were working on the Baihetan power station in Ningnan county, Liangshan Yi autonomous prefecture, in Sichuan province, a spokesman for the provincial emergency management office was quoted as saying.
