Impossible to win terrorism without combating it: Turkish opposition leader
"It is impossible to win terrorism without combating it," Deniz Baykal, Leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP), said to news conference, CNN Turk TV channel reported.
"It is necessary to combat terrorism to achieve victory over it. The Turkish government holds talks with the terrorism, but the government has never mentioned that will give up the armed struggle," Baykal added.
Turkey will solve the Kurd Problem despite all, Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said at the meeting of the ruling Justice and Development party (AKP).
Earlier, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with leader of the pro-Kurdish Democratic Society Party (DTP), Ahmet Turk. Erdogan considered the meeting as positive saying that the Kurds problem will be solved soon. Turk considered the meeting as start of dialogue between the parties. Leader of the Turkish main opposition, Republican People's Party (CHP), Deniz Baykal considered this meeting as authorities' discussions with supporters of terrorism in the country saying that it was held under the U.S. dictates.
Turkish Interior Minister Beshir Atalay also met with Ahmet Turk on Aug. 13. Turkish President Abdullah Gul mentioned the necessity of a rapid solution of the Kurd problem in the country.
