Number of Russian companies down in Turkey

In January-April 2019, 33 companies with Russian capital were registered in Turkey, which is 7 companies less compared to the same period in 2018, Trend reports referring to the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).

The total capital of Russian companies registered in Turkey during the first four months of 2019 was 5.6 million Turkish liras, while this figure was 2.8 million Turkish liras in the same period of 2018.

In January-April 2019, the largest number of Russian companies were registered in Istanbul (19), and the total capital of them reached 3.6 million liras.

According to the TOBB, 12 Russian companies were registered in Antalya during the reported period, with a total capital of 988,000 liras.

The remaining Russian companies registered in January-April 2019 fall to the share of other provinces.

Of the total number of Russian companies registered in Turkey in January-April 2019, one company is involved in mining industry, three companies in construction, 17 companies in wholesale and retail trade and three companies travel industry. The remaining nine companies with Russian capital are involved in other sectors of the economy.

The TOBB noted that the total capital of 17 wholesale and retail companies with Russian capital registered during the reported period amounted to 1.061 million liras.
