Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has expressed condolences to his Egyptian counterpart Abdul Fattah al-Sisi over the death of sixth Secretary General of the United Nations Boutros Boutros-Ghali.
"I was deeply saddened by the news of the death of sixth Secretary-General of the United Nations, prominent politician Boutros Boutros-Ghali," said President Aliyev.
"On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences to you, the family of the late Boutros Boutros-Ghali and the whole people of Egypt," the president added.
