Banker Philip Bennett appointed First Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the bank said on Thursday.
Bennett's appointment was the result of a competitive global selection process that considered over 850 potential candidates from many nationalities.
Bennett will join the EBRD on March 1, 2013 after a distinguished career at Citigroup, where for more than 20 years he assumed a series of leading roles.
Bennett was chosen from seven candidates from Europe, North America and Asia were on a shortlist interviewed for the role of First Vice President of EBRD.
