BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. One of the main priorities of the Harmony Initiative is to strengthen the interaction between COP-related initiatives, Azerbaijan's Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov said at a panel discussion on “Increasing climate finance for farmers: on-farm experience and concrete solutions,” Trend reports.
“I invite farmers from all over the world to join the Baku Harmony Initiative for farmers to fight climate change. Our goal is to support farmers, especially women and youth, share solutions, and contribute to global food security. The Harmony Initiative is a platform aimed at supporting farmers on a global level.
While the challenges we face are becoming more interconnected, so too must be our solutions. As we work to strengthen agriculture, we must focus on collaboration. One of the top priorities of the Harmony Initiative is to strengthen collaboration among COP-related initiatives. However, all initiatives that contribute to the climate-agriculture-finance nexus are welcome to participate in Harmony. Initially, Harmony will utilize a rapid analysis of partnerships with existing initiatives, including all COP-related initiatives from recent years and additional projects. We are confident that by coming together through this initiative, we can create a powerful network that builds resilience and enables farmers to thrive even in the face of climate uncertainty. We invite you to collaborate, share ideas, and work together to create a sustainable future for agriculture,” he emphasized.
