Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov received Tajikistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Haqdod Mahmadsharif Mahmoud on Nov. 16, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry’s press service said in a message Nov. 16.
The sides discussed the delimitation and demarcation of the Uzbek-Tajik border, according to the message.
During the meeting, several aspects of the Uzbek-Tajik relations were discussed, said the press service.
Earlier, Uzbekistan’s Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting with Tajikistan’s Ambassador Sodik Imomi. During the meeting, the parties discussed the negotiations on delimitation and demarcation of the Uzbek-Tajik border.
The border between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan is 1,200 kilometers long.
