Police chiefs of 16 Turkish cities including Ankara, Adana and Antalya, have been replaced, Resmi Gazete newspaper reported on Jan.8.

Yesterday a reshuffle affected more than 550 police officers in the Turkish capital of Ankara.

Earlier it was reported that the reshuffle also affected the police in some Turkish cities, namely Sakarya, Chanakkala, Malatya, Samsun, Batman, Yozgat, Elazig, Kutahya and Tokat.

Earlier, the reshuffle was said to have affected 18 officials in Ankara's Security Directorate.
