Prisoner Runs Away in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan, Ganja /corr. Trend V.Mammadov, K.Zarbaliyeva / An inmate ran away from the prison No 2 in Azerbaijan's city of Ganja in the evening of 4 January. The resident of Khangervend village of Azerbaijan's district of Goranboy, Rahib Hashimov, born in 1980, had been sentenced to three and a half years in prison in August 2006 with accusations of stealing. The Penal Service of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Justice reported to Trend that Hashimov was working in the economy brigade in the prison. Currently Hashimov is being searched by Ganja City Police Station.
