Iran Brings Itself to Condition of Unavoidable War: Chairman of Modern Iran Research Center
Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 July / Trend , corr. D.Khatinoglu / Despite that the West does not consider Iran's military trainings and testing of missiles as real threats for itself, this step increases probability of Israel or USA's attack against Iran. " Iran brought itself to the condition of unavoidable war," Mohsun Sazegara, Chairman of Modern Iran Research Center, which functions in Washington, told Trend .
On 8 July Iran held military trainings. During the trainings held in unknown region, a new kind of ballistic missile 'Shahab' with middle distance, produced by Corps of Defenders of Iranian Revolution ('Sepah'), was tested. USA, France, Germany, Italy and Israel condemned these military trainings.
"Testing missiles, Iran warned Israel and the USA of threats expecting them," Sazegara reported to Trend by telephone from Washington on 10 July. According to him, official Tehran wants to show Israel that it is prepared to subject it to missile shootings in reply to any attack against the country.
According to Sazegara, one of the founders of Sepah, the Iranian government and Sepah has chosen the right way when all the bridges are burned and it brought the country to the brink of war. "US possess missile shield in the region and Israel - in its borders. On the other hand, Iran, by increasing the range of its rockets should increase the level of fuel at the same time. The weight of the head of the rocket should be reduced for this purpose, that is, in brief, Iran can extend the range of the rocket and in this case, it is obliged to reduce the power of explosion. The Shahab-3 rocket can reach aim in 2000km, but it is not able to destroy only several houses," Sazegara said.
West levied some political and economic sanctions on Iran to stop its nuclear program. US said that Iran tries to produce nuclear weapon, but Iran rejected it. The Iranian officials have stated more than once that they will raze Israel to ground. Israel believes nuclear weapon of Iran to be threat for itself and says that Iran will attack unless its nuclear program is stopped.
On 19 June New York Times appreciated the military parade of Israel along the shore of the Mediterranean Sea as a message on attack to Iran.
