Azerbaijan, which is a chairman of GUAM since January, introduced its program.

The program was presented at the 17th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs (CMFA) of GUAM on Monday, the secretariat of the organization told Trend.
17th Meeting of the Council of GUAM Foreign Ministers was held in Prague on Monday. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov (chaired the meeting), Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Grigol Vashadze, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Julian Leanca, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Konstantin Grishchenko, Secretary General of GUAM Valery Chechelashvili participated at the meeting. Meeting of the Council of GUAM was held during the meeting of heads of foreign ministers of the "Eastern Partnership".

The sides discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation between GUAM and GUAM + and coordinated appropriate orders to the Council of National Coordinators.
Venue and date of the next Ministerial Council meeting will be arranged through diplomatic channels.

GUAM was established by post-Soviet countries in 1997 during the EU presidential summit in Strasbourg. In 1999, Uzbekistan joined the organization, and left four years later. A decision was made to announce GUAM as an international organization under the new name, "Organization for Democracy and Economic Development - GUAM," at the organization's first summit in Kiev in 2006.
