Iran is against any positive changes in Yemen, as Tehran does not like the fact of Yemen solving its problems as it sees fit, Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi said on Thursday in an interview on RT Arabic (Rusiya Al-Yaum) TV Channel.

"Iran is against changes in Yemen. They have their own ways and methods. We arrested Iranian ships, their weapons and asked them not to export problems to our country, but rather help Yemen in solving its own problems," he said.

The president said Yemen has enough of its own problems. According to Hadi, the country's main one is unemployment.

"Six million young people between the ages of 15 and 28 in Yemen are unemployed and 600,000 university graduates from humanitarian and technical institutions have been looking for a job for over 10 years. Several of them have committed suicide whilst some join the ranks of terrorist organisations such as Al-Qaeda. Therefore, the number of Al-Qaeda's members in the country is growing," Hadi said.
