BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. The export of non-oil products from Iran's Zanjan province, located in the west of the country, amounted to 12,500 tons worth $31 million in the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through April 20, 2024), director general of the customs administration of Iran's Zanjan province Zeyn-ul-Abedin Ganj-khanlou said, Trend reports.
According to him, in the first month, exports of non-oil products from Iran's Zanjan Province increased by 26 percent in value terms and decreased by 14 percent in weight terms compared to the same month last year.
Ganj-khanlou stated that zinc ingots, transformers and spare parts, profiles, steel ingots, copper wire, propylene, lead, dairy products, and others are mainly exported from the province.
"In value terms, 56 percent of the province's products were exported to Türkiye, 26 percent to Iraq, and five percent to the UAE," he added.
The official noted that 34,000 tons of products worth $10.6 million were imported into the province during the first month. The import of products increased by 18 percent in value and 19 percent in weight compared to the same month last year.
However, non-oil products worth $535 million were exported from Iran's Zanjan province in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024).
To note, Iran is slated to export $658 million worth of non-oil products from Zanjan province in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025).
