Turkey and Iran must act together towards the settlement of the Syrian crisis, Iranian Ambassador to Ankara Alireza Bigdeli said, Anadolu agency reported on Friday.
"Ankara and Tehran should work together to thwart the plans of the West in Syria and not allow it to split the Islamic world, "the Ambassador noted.
According to him, Muslim countries should not be involved in the 'West's trap', the final purpose being the destruction of the Islamic world.
Some Western countries, as well as Turkey have already supported intervention in Syria following another escalation of the situation there.
