Observers from Slovenia recognize elections in Azerbaijan as democratic

There were no large differences between the elections in Azerbaijan and Europe, the head of the Slovenia observation mission, a deputy of the country’s Parliament Elen Chich Zmago said in a statement on 7 November at the news conference on the results of the observations, Trend reports.

According to him, a group of Slovenian observers states on the democratic and transparent character of the elections to the Parliament on 6 November in Azerbaijan. Our observers, he noted, had not found serious violations of law and considered the elections as held.

According to Zmago, the observers from Slovenia monitored the elections in Baku and both as the OSCE members in some country’s Districts. The Election Code in Azerbaijan is very good, he noted. “We support the latest decree by the president on improvement of the electoral law” , Zmago stated.
