Testing Exams in Azerbaijani Cities and Regions to be Based on Centralized System

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Ilhamgizi / The final test-exams for the students in their 11th year of study will be held in a centralized order in nine cities and regions of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Education Minister Misir Mardanov, said. First testing exams based on centralized system will take place on 25 November, 2007.

Beginning from 2007 all testing exams in Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Mingachevir, Ali Bayramli cities and Imishli, Ujar, Ismayilli and Absheron regions will based on centralized system.

The Minister said that the testing exams would be packed in the Ministry from this year. The marked questions will e delivered to cities and regions in micro buses on 25 November. Final estimation of the examinees will include the marks received in secondary school and the results of last exams.

Principals of many schools, and even some teachers, try to prevent centralized test-exams, even the employees of the Education Ministry also create obstacles, Mardanov said.

The centralized exams have been held for two years in Azerbaijan.
