Holding of the Chess World Cup and Chess Olympiad in Azerbaijan will be discussed in Turkey.
On September 7-8, in Istanbul at the General Assembly of the International Chess Federation a presentation and speech in relation to the holding of World Cup in 2015 and the 42nd World Chess Olympiad in 2016 in Baku is planned, the Ministry of Youth and Sports told Trend on Thursday.
To this end, Youth and Sports Minister Azad Rahimov headed for an official visit to Turkey.
Prior consent for holding of the World Cup in 2015 and the 42nd World Chess Olympiad in 2016 in Azerbaijan was reached during the visit of the President of the International Chess Federation Kirsan Ilyumzhinov to Azerbaijan.
