Azerbaijan, Baku / Т corr I. Alizadeh / On 2 April, a preparatory sitting in the case of Journalist Rafig Taghi and Editor-in-Chief of THE Sanat Gazeti, Samir Huseynov (Sadagatoglu), was held in the Sabayil District Court under the chair of Judge Yusif Kerimov.
The prosecutor declared the indictment. Attorney Isakhan Ashurov protested against unfair judgment made by the Court; however, this was dismissed. The accused persons did not plead guilty. R. Taghi testified during the sitting. A regular sitting will be held on 13 April.
Taghi and Sadagatoglu are prosecuted in accordance with Article 283 (spreading of national, racial, social or religious hatred).
