Azerbaijan, Lankaran / Trend corr. P.Aliyeva / 152 Azerbaijani tuberculosis cases were registered in the Lankaran region of Azerbaijan. Telman Guliyev, the doctor of Lankaran Dispensary of pulmonary diseases, has reported that 105 of them are men, 47 women and 4 children.
According to Guliyev, 83 tuberculosis cases were registered in the first quarter of 2007. Twenty-four of them are women, 59 men and three children. Four people with tuberculosis died in the first quarter of 2007. Presently, 26 cases are receiving treatment in the Dispensary.
Some 98.7% new born infants were vaccinated within six months.
