( FOX News )- Japan's core consumer price index rose a higher-than-expected 0.8% in December from a year-ago, data released by the country's Statistics Bureau showed Friday. The reading reportedly marks the biggest increase in Japan's inflation in nine years. A rise in fuel, light and water charges, as well as transportation and communication contributed to the price increase.
