Kazakhstan, Astana, 17 November / Trend corr. Konirova/ Kazakhstan is ready to supply large grain consignments to Azerbaijan at a price of $300-330 per ton, Daulet Uvashev, Managing and Commercial Director of Prodkorporatsiya JSC, said to Trend special correspondent on 17 November.

"Our company is ready to supply large consignments of Kazakhstan's grain to Azerbaijan, but only at an acceptable price," said Uvashev.

According to Uvashev, today the Azerbaijani market is glutted with Russian grain but the grain is of the 4th quality class.

"Kazakhstan's grain is of the 2nd or 3rd quality class and contains 25% of gluten. Therefore, it is more expensive than Russia's grain," he said.

Today, the cost of 1 ton of wheat at elevator on Kazakhstan's domestic market is $250. And taking into account transportation expenses, the price in Azerbaijan will total at least $300-350 per ton, Uvashev said.
