One of the biggest Azerbaijani insurance companies - AzSigorta plans to pass on on-line insurance system by late 2009, deputy chairman of company's board Khayal Mammadkhanli said on July 14.
Presently, the company renders travel and avto on-line services to insure trips and obligatory insurance of cars.
"Presently, the company began to sell insurance polices via new system," Mammedkhanli said.
Number of appeals via on-line system is insignificant but there are some, he said.
AzSigorta introduced two kinds of on-line early June which are necessary.
Presently, only two companies - AzSigorta and the international insurance company offer on-line insurance in Azerbaijan.
AzSigorta has been operating on the insurance market since November 2006. Presently, 8 branches, as well as 40 regional representations of the company operate in different region of Azerbaijan. AzSigorta renders 28 kinds of insurance services, three of them - obligatory. AzSigorta's premiums hit 5.56 million manat as a result of the first six months while paying 1.95 million manat.
On July 14, the official exchange rate is 0.8043 manat to $1.
