The Georgian government has today submitted the draft amendments to the state budget of 2011 to the parliament. According to the bill, the budget increases by 213 million lari ($ 1 = 1.66 lari), Parliamentary Secretary to the Government Gia Khuroshvili told media on Monday.

In particular, tax revenues are increased in the budget by 120 million and other income by 100 million.

Khuroshvili said that the increase in tax revenues is the result of a low tax burden.

"The tax revenues increased at the expense of the revenues obtained from fines," he said. It is impossible to predict them at the beginning of the year. They are corrected during the year."

Khuroshvili stressed that the assignments of the budget organizations, including health programs, agriculture and other infrastructure projects will increase due to the increase in the budget.

The bill will be submitted for discussion in the Parliament on November 24.
