The number of production accidents and the number of victims significantly decreased, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Labour and Social Protection said on Friday.
The number of production accidents dropped from 179 to 136 for eight months of the year compared to the same period of last year, the number of victims as a result of these accidents - from 68 to 49.
As of January - August this year, the State Labour Inspectorate of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Labour and Social Protection checked employment contracts of 4,295 businesses. The related activities on 2,248 complaints received from citizens were carried out.
The labor contracts were signed with 17,000 employees by Sept. 5.
