The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development welcomes the Azerbaijani government's measures to combat corruption, EBRD president Suma Chakrabarti said at a press conference in Baku on Monday.
"Combating corruption is important to preserve and develop a favorable investment climate in the country," he said. "Today I have met with representatives of the civil society and they informed me about a number of measures taken in this area and success in eradicating corruption."
The main thing is that the Azerbaijani government has taken significant commitments to resolve this problem.
"EBRD will continue to exert all efforts to help Azerbaijan in this sphere," Chakrabarti added.
