Azerbaijan discloses amount of insurance premiums collected in January-October

Premiums collected by Azerbaijan’s 10 leading insurance companies totaled 404.99 million manats in January-October 2017, said the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA).

The figure accounts for 87.5 percent of the total insurance premiums collected during the period.

PASHA Life ranks first in terms of the premiums collected during the period with a share of 26.67 percent.

PASHA Insurance ranked second with 21.53 percent, being followed by AzerInsurance with a share of 9.04 percent.

Premiums collected by Azerbaijan’s insurance companies totaled 462.65 million manats in January-October 2017, 10.16 percent more than in the same period of 2016. Payment of insurance claims totaled 204.6 million manats in the reporting period, 7.12 percent more than in the same period of 2016.

Twenty-two insurance companies operate in Azerbaijan.
