By Ali Mustafayev – Trend:

Kazakhstan’s Karaganda-Sturgeon company, functioning in the country’s Karaganda region, plans to start production of black caviar and distribute it to the capital Astana.

The company intends to invite specialists in this area to verify the quality of its production, and to start the supplies of caviar in 2019, the local executive body said in a message.

“Our black caviar will be cheaper than its imported analogue by 30-40 percent. Presently Kazakhstan imports almost all the caviar. We want to expand the company and switch the caviar production,” said the head of the company Dmitri Abildin.

The capacity of the future production will be from 500 to 1,000 kilograms of caviar per year. The company produces up to 45 tons of sturgeons per year by recycling systems.
