By Ali Mustafayev - Trend:

Kazakhstan's Astyk Trans JSC will reduce the cost of providing grain-wagon cars in the export direction starting from May 1, 2018, the company's press service said in a message.

"In order to increase the flow of goods and realize the export potential of Kazakh grain, Astyk Trans decided to reduce the cost of providing grain wagons by 15 percent from 1 May, 2018 in the export direction (depending on the range of the route)," the message says.

Kazakhstan's grain storage fleet comprises about 10,000 wagons, 6,252 of which are managed by Kazakhstan's largest grain transport operator Astyk Trans JSC.

The general car fleet in the management of Astyk JSC Trans allows transportation of 5.5 million tons of grain a year.

The main activity of Astyk Trans JSC is the operation of a specialized rolling stock for the transportation of grain, as well as the provision of freight forwarding services for the transportation of grain to domestic and international markets.

The company also has the opportunity to increase its production capacity, attracting an additional fleet of cars to meet the growing demand of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan.

In the long term, Asty Trans intends to develop multimodal transportation of grain cargo using routing technology.
