The Textile Producers and Exporters Association of Azerbaijan is working to improve the design quality of textile goods, and in this regard plans to make the issue of creating design studios topical, Head of the company Gilan Textile Park Mehriban Akhundova told Trend.
She said that the creation of design studios will significantly increase the marketing level of textile goods, as well as enhance competitiveness both in Azerbaijan and abroad.
“If we plan to enter foreign markets with our products, then we are obliged to improve the quality of our product design,” she noted. “To do this, we need to attract specialists in this field who could provide a high-level marketing work in order to promote Azerbaijani textile goods in European and post-Soviet markets.”
The Textile Producers and Exporters Association of Azerbaijan was established to support the development of this sector in Azerbaijan. The initiative to create this organization was launched by entrepreneurs involved in the textile sector. In general, such industry associations serve to improve relations and ties between the state and the private sector.
Domestic-made textile products are represented in Azerbaijan’s trading houses in Latvia, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and Belarus. These houses feature goods produced at the Baku Textile Factory and Gilan Textile Park.
