Iran increases copper exports

Revenues made from Iranian copper exports for the first 6 months (March 22 - September 22) of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019) were equal to those made last Iranian year (March 21, 2018 - March 21, 2019), said the Head of Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) Khodadad Gharibpour, Trend reports referring to Shata News Agency.

According to him, Iran's copper exports totaled $452 million last year.

Gharibpour said that exports of Iranian steel companies also increased by 37 percent over 5 months (March 21 - August 22) compared to the same period last year.

"In 5 months, production of steel ingots increased by 4 percent, that of steel products by 8 percent, of copper anode and cathode by 28 percent, sponge iron by 11 percent and iron concentrate by 4 percent," he added.
