Turkmenistan's GDP grows greatly since early 2019

The growth rate of Turkmenistan’s gross domestic product (GDP) remains at a high level - 6.3 percent, Trend reports Oct. 5 with reference to the Turkmen government.

Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister Gochmyrat Myradov made a report at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The volume of manufactured products in January-September compared to the same period in 2018 increased by 6.9 percent, reads the report.

According to the results of nine months, growth was also observed in the private sector of the economy, the share of which in the structure of GDP amounted to 65.7 percent. The volume of retail trade turnover for the reporting period increased by 19.1 percent compared with the same period in 2018.

“Positive dynamics is also observed in foreign trade, as evidenced by its growth of 2.8 percent,” the report said.

According to macroeconomic indicators, during the reporting period, the volume of spent investments at the expense of all sources of financing reached 27.3 billion Turkmen manats.
