Trend:

The Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran is determined to prevent the imports of unidentified goods in order to secure safety and health of society, said Moslem Bayat, an official with the organization.

"Due to sanctions, some foreigners used this situation and supplied Iran with poor quality products, so we will be evaluating the quality of imported goods from now on," said Bayat, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Standards are important, so we've created a package that would evaluate the imported goods. One important value here is the technical language in trade and services," he added.

"Standard brand is a document that would provide the necessary description of goods to individuals, however it has been mostly important for the production sector," Bayat said.

"Lack of standards creates problems, therefore implementing standards in production and other sectors would improve quality of life," he added.
