The number of purchases and sales of real estate in Kazakhstan amounted to 177,627 transactions over the period from January to August 2020, which is 13.7 percent less than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
The total number of buy/sell transactions implemented in Kazakhstan in Aug. 2020 amounted to 30,172 transactions which is 13.1 percent more than in July 2020 and 3.4 percent less than during the same month of 2019.
The largest number of transactions was observed in Almaty city where it amounted to 4,439 transactions, which is 4.7 percent more than in July 2020 and 0.2 percent more than in Aug. 2019.
Almaty is followed by Nur-Sultan city with 3,620 transactions, which is 21.4 percent more than during July 2020 and 1.3 percent more than in Aug. 2019.
Karaganda region takes the third place (3,238 transactions in Aug. 2020), showing a 9.6-percent increase compared to July 2020 and a 7.2-percent increase compared to Aug. 2019.
The least number of purchase and sale of housing transactions during Aug. 2020 was observed in Kyzylorda region (860 transactions, increase by 7.1 percent compared to July 2020 and by 37.4 percent compared to Aug. 2019).
