BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 4. A total of 2.43 million tons of goods worth 216 trillion rials (about $5.14 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (June 25 through June 30, 2022), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is an increase of 50 percent in value, and 5.5 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian week (June 18 through June 23, 2022).

So, 2.3 million tons of goods worth about 144 trillion rials (about $3.42 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.

According to the report, about 2.11 million tons of goods worth more than 154 trillion rials (about $3.66 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section last week.

The main products sold in this section cement, steel, sponge iron, aluminum, copper, zinc, molybdenum concentrate, gold bars and etc.

In addition, about 313,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth 60 trillion rials (about $1.43 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.

The main products sold in this section were polymer substances, bitumen, lube cut, vacuum bottom, chemical substances, sulfur, bitumen, base oil, and etc.

Furthermore, 6,170 tons of various products worth about 2.18 trillion rials (about $52 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
