BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 19. The value of non-oil exports from Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province amounted to $1.13 billion, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022), Chairman Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of East Azerbaijan Province Sabir Parnian said, Trend reports citing ISNA.

According to Parnian, the main exported non-oil products from the province were mining minerals and related products. So, the value of mining exports was $426 million, which is an increase of 13.7 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“In addition, $343 million worth of industrial products and $231 million worth of petrochemical products were exported from Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province in 9 months,” he added.

The chairman added that the non-oil products were exported from the province to 98 countries, including Türkiye, Iraq, the UAE, Georgia, Yemen, Ethiopia, Indonesia, New Zealand and Venezuela.

Parnian also pointed out that the East Azerbaijan Province is considered one of the main provinces of Iran in terms of non-oil exports.

Generally, Iran's non-oil exports amounted to 97.8 million tons worth over $43 billion from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022) to December 31, 2022.

Within 9 months and 10 days, Iran's non-oil exports increased by 19 percent in value and 2 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
