The State Property Committee keeps on taking measures to improve the system of rent payments to the State Budget by physical and legal persons. Trend has been informed by the State Committee that work on preparing a new electronic payment system has been launched through using the up-to-date technologies. It will enable transferring rent payments in the regions via banks and their local offices. The State Committee noted that the hardware and software have already been prepared due to the introduction of the new system. In addition, the coding has been conducted in accordance with agreements of each lessee. Notifications are being sent due to this. Cards are expected to be introduced to simplify the payment system in the future.
However, the key aim is to ensure the efficiency and transparency in allocations to the State Budget. Difficulties connected with payment for rent and ensuring an urgent payment of liabilities forming for the rent payment are still available. In 2006, the State Committee sent 2,000 notices to lessees. Suits in the judiciary bodies were initiated against 900 out of them.
