Azerbaijan, Baku, October 13 /Trend S.Suleymanov/

"KazMunayGas" is discussing now the issues about its participation in the project "Constanta - Triest" and the location which "Constanta - Triest" oil pipeline must spring from", - said general director of Rompetrol Sadvakas Meraliyev.

"Constanta - Triest" is a project in line with which there is an inter-governmental agreement. But on my opinion, which I reported to the governing body of "KazMunayGas", if Kazakhstan is to participate in the project "Constanta - Triest", then the source of oil pipeline must be at Navadari on the north of Constanta, not on the south, as it mentioned in the project", - Meraliyev said.

He supported his position by the statement about the favour of this location made by the whole economy due to the construction of a new oil terminal with accommodation capacity of 24 million tonnes of oil directly close to the plant of Rompetrol.

"The source of "Constanta - Triest" oil pipeline must be at Navadari on the north of Constanta, not on the south, because we have an oil terminal capable to accommodate tankers of bigger tonnage, because there is a schedule of connection of the national networks and plus the greater decrease of expenses", - concluded Meraliyev.
