KazTransOil increases oil transportation by 3 percent

The volume of oil transportation through KazTransOil's main oil pipelines increased to 49,334 million tons in January-November, 2011 compared to 47,879 million in the same period of 2010 (a 3 percent increase)

The volume of oil transportation through KazTransOil's main oil pipelines increased to 49,334 million tons in January-November, 2011 compared to 47,879 million in the same period of 2010 (a 3 percent increase), KazTransOil reported.

The cargo turnover through the main oil pipelines increased by 439 million tons in January-November compared to the same index of 2010 and was 31.64 billion tons per km.

The volume of oil transportation through Uzen-Atyrau-Samara oil pipeline's Atyrau-Samara sector increased to 14.126 million tons in this period compared to 14.021 million tons in the first eleven months of 2010.

Transportation of hydrocarbons in the direction of China through Atasu-Alashankou oil pipeline reached 10.091 million tons in January-November 2011 and exceeded the index of the same period of 2010 by 850,000 tons, or by 9 percent.

Transportation of Russian oil through the section of TON-2 oil pipeline, located on the territory of Kazakhstan made up 4.978 million tons.

The volumes of oil transportation via the main pipelines to refineries also increased compared to last year. The volume of oil transportation to the oil refinery amounted to roughly 11.879 million tons in January-November. Oil supplies to the Atyrau refinery increased by 12 percent to 3.855 million tons and to PetroKazakhstan Oil Products increased by 4 percent to 3.947 million ton.

KazTransOil is the Kazakh National Oil Transportation Company. It keeps the interests of the State on the issues of oil transportation, export and import of oil and oil products.
